1.For an onshore institution, the following evidence is required to open an account::
(1) Unified Social Credit Identifier
(2) “Certificate of Approval for Establishment of Enterprises with Foreign Investment”, “Recordation Receipt for the Formation of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise”, “Recordation Receipt for the Modification of a Foreign-Funded Enterprise” (applicable to foreign-funded enterprises)
(3) ID of the legal representative/unit responsible person/beneficiary owner/top management/contact
(4) power of attorney and the ID of the authorized representative (the person authorized to open an account on behalf of a legal entity/unit responsible person)
(5) primary account opening permit/primary deposit account number (applicable to opening of non-primary deposit accounts)
(6) Unified Social Credit Identifier for Institutions
(7) Company shareholding structure chart
(8) Other evidential documents that the Bank requires

2.For an offshore institution, the following evidence is required for to open an account:
(1) proof of the company registration (e.g. business registration certificate)
(2) special institution code for an offshore institution
(3) ID of the offshore institution’s responsible person/beneficiary owner/top management/contact
(4) roster of directors/roster of majority shareholders/BOD resolutions
(5) company charter
(6) Chinese translation of the account opening evidence if it is not in Chinese
(7) Other evidential documents that the Bank requires

3.For an individual, the following evidence is required to open an account:
A non-resident individual customer needs to visit any of the Bank’s business locations in person and present a valid ID to open an account

If the customer has activated the fax or GlobalMyB2B banking services with the Bank, the customer can proceed with a remittance/transfer through the fax or oGlobalMyB2B banking services. The Bank encourages customers to use GlobalMyB2B for remittances/transfers.
Any corporate customer that has a settlement account opened at any branch/sub-branch of Cathay United Bank (China) Co., Ltd. may apply for the service with the following requirements:
(1) Unified Social Credit Identifier
(2) ID of the legal representative/unit responsible person
(3) ID of the company’s GlobalMyB2B administrator
(4) ID of the representative and the power of attorney signed by the legal representative of the company if the service is applied to by a representative
(5) GlobalMyB2B service application form and GlobalMyB2B service agreement with Cathay United Bank (China) Co., Ltd. (contact the Bank for more details).
